The 3rd International Steven Hoogendijk Award was presented on June 1, 2007 to Prof.dr. Willi A. Kalender for his work in the field of Medical Engineering, in particular for his contributions to the development of the CT scanner.

A jury consisting of Prof.dr.ir. Klaas Bom (Vz.), prof.dr. Gabriel Krestin, prof.dr. Peter Levendag, prof.dr. Eric Krenning and prof.dr.ir. Max Viergever made this recommendation, which was wholeheartedly adopted by the board of the Society.
